This week is Maths Week. Today we took our Numeracy skills outside to complete a measuring challenge.
We wanted to find out how many P3 lines it took to measure around the outside of our mobile.
First we looked at the length of our line. Then we all made a sensible guess, an estimate, of how many lines would stretch around our classroom.
Next, we measured around our classroom by moving our line all the way around our mobile, writing each measure on the ground.
Our final measure was 7!
Our next measuring challenge? How many P3 lines does it take to measure around the school!!
