Santa’s Flying Visit to Derrymore!
Santa dropped by this afternoon for a super quick visit.
Speaking briefly to staff members before appearing at a last-minute school assembly, Santa said, "Ho Ho Ho, Derrymore! I tried to park the sleigh on the roof, but your principal told me I didn’t have a permit and threatened to give Rudolph a detention for 'excessive nose brightness.' I’ve had to double-park in the staff car park—if anyone sees a traffic warden, tell them I’m just delivering some very heavy homework excuses!"
After delivering selection boxes to everyone (except those badly behaved teachers who have been making us work so hard all week), he added, "I’ve been checking my list twice, and I see some of you have been 'excellent' at talking while the teacher is talking! Don't worry, the Elves have a special category this year called 'Professional Chatters.' I’m also here to investigate the mystery of the missing school glue sticks—I suspect they’re being used to build a secret gingerbread house behind the P6/7class library."
If you’re listening Santa, Mr Fegan would like boxes of glue sticks, pencils and plenty of rubbers! 🕺🎄🎅
